When you book your session, it is really important to me that you choose somewhere that is special to you and your family. Maybe you have a favourite woodland that you have visited with your family or even your local countryside where you walk your dog, I am more than happy to come along to make some memories and get some special photographs along the way.
I am based in Newbold Verdon, Leicestershire and I am, more than happy to travel to wherever you decide but if you are struggling for ideas, why not take a look at some of previous HMP locations.
Leicester's Botanic Gardens
Situated just off Leicester's outer ring road, the University of Leicester's botanic garden is a wonderful location for a family photo session. With highlights including the arboretum, the Japanese garden and of course the wonderful sculptures, there are many different backdrops and a wealth of colour in the summer months!
Market Bosworth Country Park
Market Bosworth Country Park is a lovely area of open parkland in the South West of Leicestershire. Bring a blanket and a picnic or go for a stroll around Bow Pool and feed the ducks (just be careful you don't lose a welly to the water - true story!). There is a little play area for the kiddies and if you are lucky, there may be a VW Campervan serving tea, coffee and delectable cakes!
Bradgate Park
Living in Leicestershire, of course we can't forget Bradgate Park! Have a climb on the rocks, a paddle in the river or just a walk along the footpath or up to Old John, the possibilities are endless. And if you fancy an evening session, the light is so dreamy and perfect!
National Trust Calke Abbey
My personal favourite! Calke Abbey is a truly diverse National Trust property located around 10 minutes from Ashby de la Zouch which has so much to offer for a family photo session all year round.
In the summer months, the ornamental and kitchen gardens provide wonderful backdrops and the Garden of Imagination is such wonderful fun for all of the family. The buildings too provide excellent textures with their crumbling brick walls and interesting contents.
During the autumnal months, the parkland comes in to its own with beautiful russet trees and leaves perfect for kicking into the air!
Swithland Wood
Swithland Wood is situated near Woodhouse Eaves in the heart of the Charnwood Forest. It is perfect for an afternoon stroll, den building and if you are feeling particularly creative, a tea party in the woods!
These are just a few of the locations that I have shot at in the past few years but the possibilities are endless. Where will you decide?
